check the fuel tank cap....it vents the tank if the valve in the cap sticks and the tank can't vent it can cause what you are discribing.
If that doesn't work remove the fuel petcock from the tank and clean the filter, maybe you have some junk in the bottom of the tank. The next time it stalls on you remove the cap from the fuel tank and try to start it to see if it starts right up if it does its most likely your cap.
